It’s been said that nothing really good or really bad lasts really long. How true for Rain in the start of her story. She has seen the bad, especially on Ganymede for the last two of her teenage years and witnessing the murder/assassination of her father. But, these times were certainly balanced by the time she has had with her lover Anhedonia. Rain thought that she had finally found the contentment for which she was yearning. But, as always, the balance just had to shift. This shift came when Anhedonia announced his decision to continue the cloning research that had stopped with the death of her father. Rain, in fear for Anhedonia’s life, demanded that he reverse his decision, for it was that research that led to her father’s assassination. And very quickly, Anhedonia refused to stop the research and Rain refused to see him any longer. And once again, Rain looks down at life to see no past, no present and no future.
lyrics
Watch the needle rise.
Watch an entity bow
Torment rises from it's bed; torment rises now.
Yet still, you choose your stick...
and whip me to death.
Watch the seconds burn.
Watch the dawn keep its vow.
Torment rises once again; torment rises now.
Yet still, you choose your stick...
and beat me to death.
yet still, you choose your stick...
and thrash me to death.
Yet still...you whip me to death
